How it works
Buyer pays the listed price
The buyer pays the full amount you set. Payment is processed securely through Stripe.
Stripe deducts their processing fee
Stripe takes 2.9% of the order total + a flat $0.30. This is a standard payment processing fee that applies to every order on every tier — we cannot waive it. Buyers are also charged a separate $0.30 processing fee at checkout, which does not affect your earnings.
Platform fee deducted
We deduct a percentage based on your membership tier — 5% (Default/Supporter), 3% (Member), or 0% (Partner). This is on top of Stripe's standard processing fee of 2.9% + $0.30. The $0.30 processing fee charged to buyers is separate and is not deducted from your payout.
Funds are paid out by Stripe
The remaining amount is yours. Stripe pays it out to your connected bank account on their standard rolling schedule — typically within 2 business days of the charge.
Refund policy
All sales are final
Because all products on Kudosey are digital, all sales are final by default. Once a buyer has access to a file or download, we are unable to un-deliver it — so no refunds are issued.
Fees are never returned
Stripe's processing fee and the platform fee are non-refundable under any circumstance. Even in cases where a refund is granted at our discretion (such as a verified technical issue preventing delivery), only the product price may be considered — never the fees.
Sellers are responsible for their own refunds
If you choose to refund a buyer — whether voluntarily or at our discretion — the full refund amount comes out of your balance. Neither the platform fee nor Stripe's processing fee is returned to you. Price your work accordingly.
Custom refund policies
You may state a refund policy on your individual listings. However, your policy cannot override Kudosey's platform rules — fees remain non-refundable regardless of what your listing says.
Fees by tier
No subscription required. Available to all sellers.
Same fees as Default. Supporter perks are cosmetic and community-based.
Reduced platform percentage. Great for active sellers.
Zero platform percentage — keep the most from every sale.

Common questions
What is the platform fee?

What does Partner tier actually save me?
Partner removes the platform percentage entirely. On a $100 order that's $5.00 saved compared to Default. On larger orders the savings scale proportionally.
Are refunds allowed?
No — all sales are final. Because products on Kudosey are digital and instantly accessible, we do not issue refunds once a buyer has access to their purchase. Exceptions may be made at our sole discretion for verified delivery failures.
What if a buyer disputes a charge?
If a buyer initiates a chargeback through their bank, we will provide transaction records on your behalf. However, any chargeback costs are the seller's responsibility. We strongly recommend clear product descriptions and previews to reduce the likelihood of disputes.
Can I set my own refund policy?
You can state a refund policy on your listings, but it cannot override Kudosey's platform rules. Fees are non-refundable regardless of your stated policy, and all sales remain final once the buyer has accessed their purchase.
Does my tier affect what buyers pay?
No. Buyers always pay the full listed price. Your tier only affects the fees deducted from your earnings.
